If your having radiation treatments done would it be benificial to do a cycle during your treatments? I was thinking it would help repair the cell and tissue damage faster. Any help would be appreciated.

I would ask your DR. About this. I know Anadrol is prescribed to raise your RBC on certian occasions. Also it helps the waisting of size.

But I would really ask your docs opinion.

Also, I no longer smoke dope, but I cant see why it would hurt while doing your treatments to keep your hunger up.

sounds like a bad idea to me bro. unless done under the guidance of a physician i wouldnt mess with any juice while trying to fight cancer. anyway wish you the best with your recovery

My brother in law went thru treaments years ago, the last thing I would have want him taking was one more drug. Stay away from it bro.I would look into some eastern medicine to use in conjunction with the treatments, but hell no to steroids while on them.

Yes, leave it alone. Its a long shot, but you could try contacting Dennis Newman. He had leukemia. I think one of our members on here has him working as a trainer now at his gym. If you dont know who he is, he was a professional back in the early 90s id say.

It is testicular cancer . it was a seminoma and the cancer spread into one of my lymphnodes. The good news is the doctor said it is 100 Percent curable with 3 to 6 weeks of radiation treatments.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your health. That is good news though that the doc is so optomistic. Dennis Newman had leukemia and recovered. Of course you know about Lance Armstrong's recovery.

I'm going to guess you're getting an orchiectomy and pelvic node irradiation. Especially since this is a seminoma, I wouldn't introduce any hormones to mess with your HPTA. I would discuss your concerns with your oncologist. Seminoma is the most common cancer among men 18-34 I believe (not sure on exact numbers, in that are though), either way, it's common for young men and everyone should get any abnormal lumps checked out as it is very cureable.

Also, radiation treatments work on the fact that normal cells repair faster than cancer cells (to put it basically), so introducing something that helped cells repair may help cancer cells repair to, not something you want. The radiation is causing DNA damage anyway, different from muscle tissue damage.

3-6 weeks of treatment? thats it? you really can't hold off on gear for 3-6 weeks while your saving your life?!? and your asking bodybuilders if we think you should add anabolic steroids to your cancer treatment. you honestly think we are competent to answer a question like that? and i wish you would be competent enough to ask your doctor INSTEAD OF US if you REALLY can't hold off.

When i first noticed it it was a small tiny lump and then, about 3 weeks later i felt it was even bigger. The doctor did say it is a very aggrasive form of cancer and it will double in size every week but is very easy to cure.

Actually my Doctor practiced and worked at the same hospital that Lance Armstrong went to for his treatments.
