Dorian recently answered a question of mine. In the past year or so hes gone from 250 lbs to 230 lbs and only lifts 40-50 lb dumbbells bc of injuries. Hopefully his injuries get better. Look what happened to Ronnie

Can't believe it's been over 20 years since this era. Seems like yesterday.Lol

This is the year I started bodybuilding and the guys competing during this time will always be among my favorites.

The "look" these guys displayed is different from todays group in some ways.

21 years ago and EACH of those six guys in the final judging - in their 1996 shape - would without a doubt battle for the O crown today... what a lineup!!! :headbang:

And it's pretty sad actually... only makes us realize how the global quality of physiques in bodybuilding has only kept getting backwards for the last two decades.

On a side note, who can deny Nasser should at least have won a Sandow? Man, him and Dilett almost made Ronnie look small...

reminds me of my glory days back in 1996 started dreaming of looking like these guys and started on a journey of mass...

Yates and Coleman were monsters. They still are but the old age and all those years of extreme amounts of gear will screw you up. Ronnies had multiple serious back surgeries by now
