Rice Cooker Recommendation

Aroma is the only correct answer here. Costco, Amazon, go now.

I got the Aroma.
Do any of you guys add oil to the rice before cooking?

Right now I’m just doing basic, add rice, add water, put in cooker until done. It comes out a little sticky but other than that good.

I cook almost all my rice in stock from whatever I cooked the day before. Generally whole chickens… let it cool, strain some of the fat and put in fridge for next day.

The collagen/fat give it a nice velvety texture.

Add some bone both or chicken stock. I feel like it makes the rice clump up quicker. I use jasmine or sushi rice.

Ninja foodi! Love this thing get plenty of use for air frying, saute, pressure cook.

I always used rice cookers but did away wit it once I learned how to make my rice in the pressure cooker.

4 cups of rice pressure cooked for 5 min then steam release.

I never use pressure cookers… Dries the rice out! I do mine in a pot on the stove. Example:
1/2 rice - 1 cup water
1 cup rice - 2 cups water
1.5 cup rice - 3 cups water
Etc….

Pour your water in the pot, bring water to a boil. Once it’s boiling, dump in the rice. Cover the pot and set a timer for 20 minutes. Works perfectly every time!

Oh, I forgot to add that once you put the rice in the boiling water. Take the heat off of HI and set the heat on its lowest setting. Then cover and set the timer for 20min.

DO NOT LEAVE THE BURNER ON HIGH THE ENTIRE 20 MINUTES.

I was doing exactly this bro. But I meal prep and with high carb days, I’m still around 600-800gr of carbs, maybe more. It was getting to be a lot and I was cooking rice every other day in pot.

Now I have the rice cooker that fits 20 cups of rice, so I do it less often.

It’s all about keeping it easy. Being able to do the same amount, but in less time to be able to use that time for other things.

+1 for instant pot. Persian GF tells me it's shitty white person rice that way, but for quick carbs that I'm not serving at dinner with her, eh. It's good, its easy.

I'm looking into an Aroma cooker, mainly for the 'warm' feature...

For the owners, do you just keep it on the warm feature and cup out rice whenever you need it?

That's how I imagine it works, and what I'm looking for.

Exactly what i do. I throw it on after fasted cardio and its good all day. Clean it out at the end of the day. Give my dogs the remainder.

What about for a few days, a week?

Ideally would like to make a large batch and consume it over the following week

Instant Pot. Hands down the best.
