Severe Joint Pain

Well I delt with the pain and having no explanation for it as long as I could. Now I turn to the brain trust known as prof muscle. I've been lifting for a good 6 years, and at the young age of 24 I have joint pain that could be described as blinding. Knees and wrists ache and throb. I perform heavy weights with squat, bench, and dlift on a 3day split. Never felt joint pain like this till a few weeks ago (not even thru college fball). Finished my first cycle (sus and eq) last week, and trained for strength throughout. Now the only explanation I have is that my joints aren't strong enough for the weight yet. But I only bench 405, and swuat 500 (at 6'2'', 220) so this leads me to believe it may be somthing else. Those weights were less than during college ball so I dont think it can be joint strength. Taking a week off, going to absorb as much knowledge as you guys can thro at me.

Well tendons and ligaments have a much smaller blood flow to them and will not recover or strengthen as quickly as muscles will while enhanced. So this could be the source of some of your joint pain. Could be poor form on things, bad foot placement on squats, etc!

How about some deca and hgh ?
Also ice 4 times a day for about 15 min. on.

Appreciate the input. I noticed my form wavering toward my heavier sets, so I grabbed a fellow board member at my gym and asked him to critique my form. Going to low on squats with naturally bow legged knees...could definatly be part of the problem. Going to use lighter weight with more reps and concentrate on form. Do you know anything about box squats used to strenghten ligaments and tendons in the knee?

pain in the joint

know what ya mean bro.... hurts and it's aggravatingggggg
been there... as much as you don't want to try taking it easy ... lighter lifts and just give it time... that's the only thing that works for me...

hang in there!

There's no such thing as GOING TO LOW ON SQUATS....

Lets just get this shit straight right now....

There's is such a thing as very bad form....and I'd also look at your nutrition you are what you eat...

Glucosamine/Condroitin/MSM 2xday
Fish oil 10k/mgs/day
ice/compression/elevation/rest
Don't overtrain
stay away from barbells especially smith machine
800mgs/ibuprofen 3x/day x 10days(with food) then off
Fixed my joint problems.......I train alot smarter now(only took me 20yrs to figure it out.....Less Training more resting.
Peace,GF

Pain is a signal your body uses to tell you something is not good. You may have overloaded them more than your realize as you "trained for strength", especially on your first cycle. Take it from me, listen to the pain and back off a while, let it settle down and heal. I have ignored pain in the past only to find I end up rupturing a tendon. OF is right, connective tissue has very little blood flow for repair and nourishment so allow plenty of time to heal.
