Shilajet: any users?

Anyone taking shilajet? Is it snake oil? Any info,

I read on Reddit people swearing by it

If I had to make a guess with confidence, snake oil. Someone found a way to market something and make some $$. Googled it I'd rather save my $ for gh and good food.

The only time I've tried shilajit was like 5 years ago during a break from TRT. It was a "natty anabolic" product from Antaeus Labs called Titan, which was tomatidine complexed with 200mg shilajit per cap. Ran it as high as 6 caps/day and don't recall noticing much.

I use it because it helps make ubiquinol/CQ10 more effective for heart health. I've never heard of or noticed anything in terms of anabolic effects. I do notice soms very mild benefits for the heart though.

Some time ago I looked at it and my impression was that people didn't even seem know what it was exactly. Someone said it was bird shit lol, seriously. I mean I couldn't really find an exact description of what it was lol.

Secondly, if it was so rare and expensive what is the product companies like LEF sell that is mass produced and how do they standardize it?

Then there was the warning of heavy metal poisoning from certain products.

I actually took it as a bb supplement like 3 decades ago lol, it was called Mumie or Moomiyo. It was a company that sold Russian athletic supps like ecdysterone etc.

I just do one capsule of the jarrows brand version with my ubiquinol. 250mg. Haven't tried going higher

Which brand? They have analyzed a number of these products and some have had alarming levels of heavy metals. So it seems you really need to trust the product. I would trust the patented Shilajit as far as being heavy metal free but then the question is what is it exactly and how do they "clean" it up.
