Shoulder BURN!!!

Family, i need some input....My worst muscle by FAR when it comes to the "burn" is my shoulders....i can barely get 1/2 way through a workout before they burn so FRIGGIN bad.....Is there any supplement i can take or something i can do that would help with this? I mean...im talkin' En Fuego!!!
 
i'd be interested to hear this aswell. i get it bad doing dumbell shoulder presses but not so much from bar but i get better development from dbells so am keen to continue.

could it be an injury at all?
 
what are you doing for shoulders and how often?

I'll do military press, dumbbell press, front shoulder raises, bent over single arm row (to the side), behind the back side raises...it seems as though what kills em' most is the front raises either with dumbbells or on cables...i mean just burns!! Same feeling you get from any other muscle burn just intensified by 10!
 
oh, and i hit em 1x a week....occasionally 2x but with my chest work outs they get hit indirectly and pretty good so i tend to keep it to a 1x a week.
 
sounds like overtraining bro. i could be wrong but why so many isolation movements for one muscle?

I have the same problem..Mine usually starts about the 2nd set into pressing..My only relief is grabbing a high bar with both hands and stretching like almost doing chin ups but I just hang a little..This gives me immediate relief but comes right back after the next press..So i just do it after every set.

it would be but those are just the overall exercises i do....I do 3 of em' per workout...usually military with front raises and rear...something like that.

Ask Phil Hernon about energy X. Might help your problem. Awesome stuff. Helps buffer lactic acid. I strongly suggest you give it a try. Just PM him for trhe details.
 
An old and probably helpful tip for you would be to take a1/2 teaspoon of arm&hammer baking soda before your workout and this is suppose to keep lactic acid levels down. Make sure you mix it with something like gatorade or crystal light cause its not very pleasent on its own!
 
baking soda? does that actually work? never heard that one before
 
shoulders are same way for me, i just suck it up and never really thought of a way to make it stop or better. Seems to be for me after i've done a press and start with raises that it hurts the worst.
 
Most of the time its the pump compaired with aas and/or IGF which creates an huge burn..

you may need to see a doctor.
avoid the movements that cause you pain until then.
