site injections - front delt?

anyone every go in the front delt? i cant find any detailed charts of the major arteries and nerves for front deltoids.

get an anatomy chart and look at the heads of the delts... vander it sounds like you are hitting the same part of the delt everytime.

I hit them with syntherol for quite a while without even a flinch. I used a 25g 1 inch and took it in about 3/4 to 7/8 inch every time. I was concerned because I always heard how it is a bitch to hit the front delt and not catch a nerve but I didn't have any problems at all. Every other day for about 4 months with no problem.

shit i always hit all 3 heads of my delts, just raise ure arm up infront of u, find the meatiest part and relax, following that point down, then ill either use a 25g as skip does or a 1/2" 27g slinner to do em, never hit a nerve there either

I used to do anteroir and lateral delts shots. Never had a problem-no more bruising than any other site, didnt hurt alot either.

but biceps i like an incher at least, unless its syntheselen

I use a 23g, no probs. Never have had any probs hitting bloodlines or nerves in my delts (as opposed to my recent quad effort ). Can't point you in the direction of a chart though mate - maybe try a search on the med sites or a uni anatomy area? IronMike

I never had issues with blood vessels or nerves in the delts.

Raise your arm up so it is parallel to the floor. Rest it on a bookshelf or something. Stay relaxed so the muscle is soft. Stick the pin in parallel to the floor.

You can NOT inject in your front delt, an important nerve is close when
you shot in there.

I'm a medicstudent, Last year I have to study where all the (important) nerves are.

I also learned that normal injections in the delta muscle are more
dangerous than glutes, because of the nerves.

Do not inject in your front shoulder, because if you inject to deep,
you can hit a nerve, it can paralise your arm forever.

It's no different than hitting your syatic nerve. It will be numb until the depot disapattes and flows and releases pressure. I truely don't feel that there is any more danger than from injecting your front delt that anywhere else.

a guyat El Pollo Loco's gym did that..... killed the muscle sorta, i guess what happened was there was too much damage to the nerve and it could not longer innervate the delt so it atrophied... pretty much just shriveled up and deformed his whole look
