I've really had a good couple of weeks. Money's tight.....when isn't it? Time's short.....same story. Love my supps.....nothing's cheaper than TE, not even creatine....so that's all I get.

So what about the food. I'm sick of sucking down $5 Isopure's after my workouts, so I've been doing something a little different and it's working beautifully.

Most of my workouts are 7pm or later, due to work schedule.

On the way home I stop by the Jewel for a liter of coke and 1lb. of flank steaks, and eggs if I need them. Drink the coke on the way and eat 1lb. of steak w/ 3 whole jumbo eggs w/ tobasco. I'll be damned if I'm not satisfied and content and I'll be damned if the veins don't get dialated and I sleep like a baby.

I tried this as a lazy way to get a cheap, high-protein dinner. I suggest some of you try it.....i have it 3-4 nights a week and it's really helped my recovery and I seem to sleep remarkably well on it.
 
This is how guys from the oold school used to do it before we got into all these exotic supplements. Remember FOOD is the most anabolic substance on earth. Sounds like your steak and eggs are working just fine.

Agreed. Too many people are focused on hyped up supps and making inane food choices in the name of eating 'clean' when in reality you dont have to restrict yourself so much.

I too like to go totally whole food post workout. I like flank steak stuffed with spinach and Parmesan and a huge plate of baked hash browns. I seem to stay much leaner on whole foods sugar/carbs than on the liquid type pwo drinks.
 
There is to much hype in protein shakes and supplements, Alin hit the nail on the head, the old way was eating and eating good protein. Flank Steaks, Chicken Breasts and Fish. We are what we eat.
 
Sounds like a hell of a dinner. I have to throw some veggies in though or else I wont go to the bathroom for days. Gotta get the fiber!!! Anybody remember the Arnold film where he was at the diner and ordered the steak and something like a dozen or two of eggs.
 
Love having steak n eggs in the morning.

rather then a heavier meat in the morning, I'll BBQ a beef cutles the night before just with pepper and no soduim topping along with the eggs.

Bro, when I bulk, I'm always eating steak and whole eggs. You get more cleaner cals in with them. I usually do sirloin steaks and roasts.
 
Yes, the coke is for sugar/insulin...and it does taste good so why not? Just replenishing glycogen stores after the workout.

It is old school, I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. Never occured to me to, I'm more of the massive batches of spaghetti and/or hamburger helper type of guy. But I've slept and felt a lot better doing this instead.

Just wanted to throw it out there so some other guys can enjoy it too.
 
Lean pork is good to guys. Its actually a little bit better for you then a lot of beef.

Eating cleaner in general helps with overall well being and mood. When I bulked dirty in the past, I always felt like shit.
 
LOL..the thought of a post workout drink after a hard session of DC training makes me nauseous just thinking about it...uuuck! I like a couple of handfuls of raisins, a banana and some oatmeal...then an hour later I do my protein..eggs or red meat usually...and some LBA's
