Sterility and risk of infection

Hello all. I have a 100 ml bottle of synthelamin (b12). I have opened the bottle up completely and inserted a needle into the liquid to draw out the 2cc's i want for my injection. I have done this a few times but I am worried that by opening the lid, I have allowed bacteria to get in. Would it be ok if I injected test and then used that same needle to draw a few cc's of the b12? OK I am jsut worried about getting an infection. what would cause the b12 to lose its sterility? Is there anything I can do to make it sterile again? Thanks guys.

It sounds just fine to me and you can draw after the test with no problem. Just use the vial in the fastest time possible but still within the recommended dosage and it will be fine. Whenever possible you should always use a fresh needle each time but it is understandable that we cant do it in every situation. It is more dangerous to inject the test then dip into the B-12 with a dirty pin but as long as its just your vial and nobody else is dipping then go ahead. Dont feel silly man, it is better to err on the side of caution any day.

thanks man. I really appreciate that. I will use a fresh needle starting now! you think its ok that I just removed the stopper though? I took the lid off with nothing to protect the liquid from the air? Dont worry I would never let anyone touch my bottle except for me.

Im gonna have to say throw it away. The top on that product is made that way for a reason. IMHO your basically just waiting to get an abscess. Each time you open that bottle you let air and debris in. Eventually your gonna get some debris in yourself and voila, be ready for the scalpel. In addition sticking a pin in a vial, then just dipping it into an open bottle is something that you should learn now is a bad idea. When using injectable steroids cleanliness and an attempt at maintaining sterility of the product is paramount. If you value your health, chuck the bottle and get another. They last you a long time and I can guarantee you eventually things will go bad.

no.. that's not ok. once you use a needle for an injection toss it.

you can hit multiple vials with the same needle... then switch it out because it will be dull. but once it enters your body its done.

Open air injections?
Say what?

A sterile vial with stopper is designed for a reason.
Search around ge3t your self a sterile .2 um syringle filter or 2 and sterile vials and filter the solution into them.

oh come on ive been using the same pin since 1999 and never got an infection, frented i need an 8 lb cledge hammer to get it to break skin but hey im no pussy i can take it....ok you caught me im off today and home alone(girl is at school) and im bored and being a post whore! im gonna go play mortal kombat!

Yah I just pull em out when Im done and throw em in the drawer. I then resharpen them with a piece of sandpaper and have at it again. I also backfill the syringe using a plastic measuring cup kept in my bathroom behind the kitty litter box.
