Stupid Question of the Day

Ok, I feel borderline silly even asking this but my neighbor invoked my curiosity. He told me that in the old days (80's), they used to check to see if their gear was legit by dripping a couple of drops of the oil on their tounge. If it got numb, it was thought that they had good gear.

Now, I'm thinking it is probably the BA or something that caused the numbness. Anyone ever hear of such a thing?

We ALWAYS did that, hell i drove down to Queens , N.Y. one time to meet my source there and he had a bunch of stuff, we told him we wouldn't buy anything unless we could taste it first, he was like WTF that was years ago but I dont totally rely on that anymore cuz one time I got Nile sus and they tasted mediciney and numbed my tongue but they ended up being really weak. I don't think it's foolproof but if it tasted like just plain oil it usually was. However,you can't do that anymore cuz the EO that is used today doesn't taste like much.

well i thought the theory was......

if they went to the trouble of putting the BA, BB in there
it was (more than likely legit) as these solvents lb for lb
are way more costly than the compound itself.....imo

Yep. I did that too and it was the way to tell if the new stuff in town was real or junk in those days. Seemed to work too.

Good stuff! WHat Tenny said makes sense and it was kind of what I was thinking. Raw Test is dirt cheap. If you're going to by ba/bb, oil, vials, other equipement.... why not just sell good gear too so I'm sure the logic, while not fool proof, probably works most of the time.
