It's all fun & games, until someone crushes a metatarsal.
Fun stuff. Last week Sunday at approximately this time, I effectively managed to crush the base of the first metatarsal in my left foot.
I was doing calf extensions on the lying leg press sled with 360, forgot that I had not engaged the stops and relaxed. The weight shot down and smashed my left foot into the base, pushing my first metatarsal into the medial cuneiform and shattering it into at least 9 pieces. After seeing 2 orthopedic surgeons, 1 set of X-Rays, and 2 CT scans later I am due for surgery this Thursday.
Yes it hurts a little, but not be able to squat hurts more. I wonder if hGH will help speed my recovery post op?
