I love em. But I do know that there are a lot of people taht done particularly think they are the best thing. Just curious who here eats a lot of yams/sweet potatoes? If anyone suggests them as part of a post workout meal or what? Just curious.

I love them! my daughter hates them so I get to eat all of them when my wife makes them. Mmmmmmmm leftovers:)

Yea, my gf hates em too. I couldn't imagine hating sweet potatoes. They are so carbolicious!!! Pretty darn good for ya too in moderation. Whole reason i posted this is because I got a shitload in the fridge from leftovers... mmm

I love them too. Bake them then use the spray butter and some cinnamon on them. YUM!

You can find in the frozen food section sliced sweet potatoes for a quick meal. They are already sliced like french fries, and bake them in the oven for something different and low fat.

Love my sweet potatoes!!! They are a better choice for carbs than regular potatoes. So go ahead and enjoy. Just remember they are carbs so if you are watching carb intake just be careful not to eat too many at once. They are great percontest for carb loading because they release a bit slower than white potatoes.

I heard sweet potatoes are the number one source of complex carbohydrates... I eat them any time I can..

oatmeal is the king of all carbs, but sweet potatoes are not too far in the list, since has more fiber than white potatoe your body burns it longer, also im a fan of high carb diets over high protein diets, the reason is cause higher carbs diets with good carbs are safer than high protein diets, nobody gets fat eating fruits, vegetables and whole grain with moderate amounts of animal protein

FYI... I had sweet potatoes post workout after not really having food in my stomach..... Umm, I was seatbelted to the toilet half the afternoon. Is this a common issue. wtf.

I've tried to eat sweet potatoes so many times. If they're unlucky enough to make it past my tongue, they're not going to make it past my esophagus. Don't know what it is; I just can't, for the love of God, eat sweet potatoes. But yea, sweet potatoes are on the list for best complex carbohydrate sources, alongside oatmeal and brown rice.

They have always been one of the staples of my diet. I actually just peel and boil them and am good to go.

I only like them covered in marshmallows and I know thats not good for you.

Try this.......peel them, slice them however thick or thin you like. Place them on a flat baking tray, sprinkle ev olive oil all over them and bake until golden on top. Eat them with whatever you prefer, t-bones work well with this!!! Really great source of carbs. Oatmeal is def at the top of the list though for quality carb sources, sweet potatoes are right up there with oats.

how?

I have never eaten thm but I am open to trying. How do you guys cook and season them? recipes?

Really I guess it all depends on what you consider high protein. BTW that last statement is complete BS.

You mean you guys peel them? You're not hungry enough if you're not willing to eat them peel and all...:)

I love them, my wife does not really like them not even on Thanksgiving Day peeled and baked in the oven SOME with brown sugar. I think she is crazy. She liek reular potatoes.

Eat them everyday bro! But I cheat and buy them in the can. Just open, drain, rinse, and sprinkle cinnamon on top. The Perfect carb IMO.
