If the swelling is severe and painful I would get to a Doctor asap. Could be a lot of things but it is severe water retention for an imbalance of your water works. But go to the doc and find out for sure.

You should see a DR. because it could be kidney or adrenal issues.
I have seen whare splenda did this to someone.Just an idea,if your using a lot of artifical sweetners.STOP and see if it goes down.I was training a guy for a show and he had swelling so I sent him to the DR. and it was caused by splenda.The DR. said he's been seeing a lot of this.

Damn, i didnt know it could be so many things. It happens to me when
on cycle every once in awile. If i eat 2-3 bananas before going to bed
the next day the swelling is gone. For me its just a lack of potassium.

I went to the Dr. and had everything checked. My bloodwork came back perfect and bloodpressure was a little high. All and all i have the greenlight. woohooo.. he also gave me a script for hydrochlorothiazide to help eliminate the fluid in my ankles and supress the high bloodpressure.

Good to go. Sounds great. My mother's got Lymphedema, Legs ankles
and feet swell up like balloons and painful. Very serious condition. Doc
said that even If she stumped her toe and got infected. very good chance it could
kill her. Don't mean to scare ya but anytime you get swelling like that
definity see the ol doc.
