Light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver outworked Roy Jones Jr. over ten rounds and in the eleventh, Tarver had Jones ready to go, but didn't have the energy to finish him off...Jones came back to hurt Tarver in the same round. He has Jones' #..simple as that...

I guess Roy does have a "kryptonite" on this Earth...Tarver has proven this 3X over! I was surprised, I thought Jones would not fight Tarver again regardless of the purse, UNLESS he thought for sure he could beat Tarver and not hurt his legacy anymore than it has. He is still one of the greatest, but Tarver, the olympian, deserves some serious props.

well...he has kyrptonite from more then Tarver......Jones was knocked out cold down and out for a few minutes on his last fight against another guy. It's called age and lack of drive to continue in the ring.

That guy was Glen Johnson, ranked # 3 in the lt. heavies. He is Jamaican and pretty dangerous. I agree w/ the age thing, he is 36, and when he was prolly 30 I would say he was unbeatable.

I would also say that his drive in the ring has not changed much, once a fighter always a fighter. That is why you often see fighters still hanging on (Holyfield) and still trying to compete at the levels where they once succeeded.

i dont know how much more motiv jones needed. i boxed for 4 ears and whenever i had some fucker talkin shit about his fight with me that was the motiv i needed to hand his ass too him. i do respect jones after comments though. he was graceful and admitted the truth that he got beat by a better fighter. however like stated earlier had this fight happend when jones was 30, lights out tarver

I might be wrong but I think Tarver is actually a few months older than Jones so age shouldn't be an excuse for Jones. I think people should question Jones weak chin and not his age.
