The Impact of GH on the Heart

Exactly. It makes good sense especially in light of the Finnish study Dante first posted. Cycling on and off each might minimize the cardiovascular impact. I like your thought process.

Monte

Don't IGF levels stay elevated for a rather long time after GH use. I'd imagine as long as it's not in that window, then it may help.

RINO, you are correct. IGF-1 remain persistently elevated after cessation of the growth hormone. Why this happens is the subject of speculation. A possible explanation is the change in body stature and the fact that lean body mass itself can stimulate the production of IGF-1 through indirect mechanisms.

I'm thinking this is key

I guess the question is how long the IGF levels remain elevated. One study I read showed elevated levels 6 months post-cessation. How would you cycle test and GH if that were the case?

Thanks,
Monte

I wouldn't do this but it would be cycle followed by GH then off until IGF and blood panel are normal.
I'd think the synergistic effect of the two together would allow you to take less of each. That may be more beneficial then switching between the two.

RINO, thanks. So one would:

1. Cycle AAS
2. Cycle GH
3. Wait for panels to show normalized IGF
4. Then repeat

Is that right?

Monte

Do you really need a study to show that AAS and GH fuck your heart up?
If you want to know what too much gh does in the body just look up acromegaly .
There is not mystery involved in this.

That's not right, you cant win here. You cant cheat the effects of the ASS and GH. If either of these products are not affecting your heart then they are not working. Eyes wide open - either accept the risks or don't do it.

I don't need it, but some newer guys might find this information useful in determining future cycles. Not everyone is well-versed on side effects.

1234trew, I was asking RINO and nothuman for their opinions. We all know that AAS and GH can be harmful. We are discussing ways to reduce risk. Dante posted a study that showed AAS with concomitant GH use worsened cardiac prognosis. We speculated that using them individually might help lessen LVH.

Some critical thinking is a good thing.

Yes, that would have you avoiding elevated IGF levels while on cycle. I'm sure someone else has spent more time thinking about it but that's pretty much a basic approach you could use.
