I don't usually comment on the subject of bodybuilding
as it is not my area of expertise.
But since I am bigger and older then ultimate warrior the thread did get my curiousity up. ( now if I cut like that I might be approximately his size but that is not going to happen as it looks to small to me and the video seems to imply that he isn't very strong )
Here is my concern:
He doesn't look very healthy in my opinion.
You cut like that at his age:
1. You better pray you don't overly tax your system. Can you imagine the toll on his body and brain to cut like that over 50??
2. The mass you lose cutting doesn't come back!!
After 40 is an excellent time to juice but your goals should be one of building mass where you can and saving mass where you can. Your natural test levels are falling.
Now if that is Gary at 48 in the video then he looks big, and healthy to me. His level of leaness would be my goal.
Again, this is not my area of expertise, but I don't find many guys at the gym or anywhere else that have the mass I still have in my 50's. I attribute this to lifting since I was 18, being a mesomorph, and not juicing until I was 44. And while I have cut radically with IP's PGCL you will note from my thread that I not only do not think I adversly affected nutritional intake and I stopped when I noted that I might be losing mass. I think I had like 18 1/2 - 19 inch biceps and I lost 1 inch although I did not review that thread before writing this.
The only way I am going to ever see 20 inch biceps is with synthrol which may be worth considering in light of the fact that you can't stimulate much growth in the mid 50s in my opinion.
I am more convinced then ever that at my age the goal is to maintain what I have in light of the fact that the progression for all human beings beyond 40 physiologically is downward to the end point of death.
