haha, dont ask me what the needle is about, i just found ya a pic...

i know..

the thyroid glands are in your neck just below your chinand behind your adams apple.

Thyroid is the key to anit-aging

Rea, that is is not correct!

The picture clearly shows, that the thyroid gland lobes lie on both sides of the adam's apple! and NOT behind it.
In fact, you can palpate it for nodules with your fingertips. I have researched it for over 60% of my like and introduced it to bodybuilding, that make CHAMPIONS, that Weider took credit for and make billions of $$s.

Do a google search for hyperthroidism or hypothyrodism symptoms.

There are a lot of signs, things like feeling cold if you have too little.

ummm.. ok my bad!

close enough tho... knew it was somewhere near that area... chill out bro lol!!! ;)

You can't tell much from palpating your thyroid unless your have a goiter which is a sign of hypothroidism. The thyroid hormone feedback system is very sensitive and can get screwed up.

Major symptoms of HYPOthyroidism: lethargy, fatigue, weight gain, goiter

Major symptoms of HYPERthyroidism: dry skin, tachycardia (increased heart rate), distal eyebrow hair loss, general hair loss, jitteriness.

You need a thyroid panel to determine what is going on, specifically a TSH assay. T3 supplementation can really screw up your thyroid if not done carefully, or even if done carefully.

Hope this helps.

Hey Vander. Just like Snarf said...u will need to get some bloodwork done to find out how effecient your thyroid gland is working. Bloodwork is a must my friend when in this game. I always get bloodwork done right before a contest and right after to see what has been going on with my lipid profiles...etc.etc. It usually costs me around $125 for each test...but to me it is well worth it! I can't put a price on my health! Mental1

I have never heard of any one messing up there thyroid with T3. I read all this stuff about ramping and pyramiding, but do you honestly think people can follow that kind of regimen? No. Shit I forget half the time what Im supposed to take in a day. Let alone spacing the stuff out throughout a day.

Lab tests...

You will need free TSH (thyroid stim hormone), and usually thyroxine level. These will show if you have enough thyroxine in the blood which is the hormone produced by the thyroid. Also TSH shows the level of pituitary secretion of thyroid stimulating hormone( which stimulates the thyroid to release thyroxin. So If both are ok, then your ok. Usually two types of thyroid probs hyper or hypothyroidism. Hyper is the bulging eyes, lots of anxiety, feeling warm and sweaty, shaky sometimes jittery. Hypo is sometimes overweight, always cold, depression, just to name a few. If you are concerned get some blood work Vander. I doubt there is a prob. If you are taking t-3 the test will be way off, but falsely off. Later.

|--[\\\\]>------------ I know s'one back home who actually shut his tyroid down due to taking too much T3

too much t3 can shut your thyroid down permanently. if you can palpitate your thyroid, you have a major problem. best way to tell is to go to the doc. get a lab test, and look at the values for tsh, t3, and t4, and then go from there

Permenant shut down of the thyroid gland from use of exogeneous thyroid drugs has never been documented in medical history. Patients who were misdiagnosed as hypothyroidic then taken off thyroid replacement after years of use have thyroid levels return to normal in a few weeks.

Your natural thyroid hormone production will shutdown while taking thyroid drugs but will normalize once those drugs are stopped.

have you checked your temperature? it shouldnt be below 97.5F for 3 consecutive days. if it is, your thyroid could be off.

Hyper is the bulging eyes,
I've always wondered if thyroid is why several Pro's have bulging eyes.Anyone else notice this?

I confirm I know people who have had Thyroid shutdown from T3.

The thyroid feedback loop is similar to the HPTA axis we are familiar with when using AAS. The thyroid can be completely "shut down" from exogenous T3 or T4 supplementation but will likely return to normal over time when the supplementation stops. However, there will be a period of time when it will be underperforming which can result in hypothyroid-like symptoms.

I would bet the pros with bulging eyes is more a result of extreme dieting/low BF rather than T3 use.

Speaking bout the thyroid, anyone of you guys notice some kinda lucklustre feeling or sluggishness after you get off a thermogenic ot t3/t4 enhancer? I know we shouldn't be on these stimulants 24/7 but once i get off, my whole body temp drops and i feel cold at the ends of my body, namely feet and hands.. anybody has this too?
