The human thyroid secretes about 80 mcg of T4, 4 mcg of T3, and 2 mcg of rT3 each day. The body converts 30-35% of that 80 mcg T4 to T3. That is 24-28 mcg of T3 ED. Plus the 4 mcg it already produces, average T3 production would be 28-32 mcg ED, in the body.
