Transitioning

Hey guys, I am making the transition from superman to clark kent, and it may be a permanent move ... I was wondering if anybody had a time frame on how long it took to start making strength gains again ... IE: I know if im benching 400, it will go down to 350 ... I know it also wont be back @ 400, but how long would it take to make the move from 350-360? This is such a mindfuck, but a hobby has been encompassing too much of my life, and I need to get some real world shit together on my part ...

First, smart move tatt... I think you made the right decision. :)

Now, it really depends on your own natural abilities, how much of your current strenght has to be attributed to AAS, what your diet and training will remain like, etc...

Really, no one could answer that question with precise numbers for sure.

i would say it depends on your age, and how long you were superman continuously. i would say it also depends on what you want to look like. for example you could transform to clark kent, after maybe 6 months you might be completely normal again. you bench might be lower, then you could train like a powerlifter, eat a buttload of good food, gain 30 lbs and bench over 400 again. difference being you are benching the same weight at a higher bodyweight

Man, its been almost 1.5 years now that I been on straight (I'm 22) ... I am not one of those people who BLOWS up from AAS, so when I come off, I usually only lose water and a little bit of what I gained. Hopefully it happens again .... C. Kirk ... I am not trying to gain bodyweight to get stronger ... I prefer a lean, aesthetic look ...

sorry to hear this as u seemed to have a pretty strong strongman showing lately...from personal experience I hardly lose any strength even when takin 2-3 months off, only my form goes down

i guess it depends if u will still be training...and related to what Phidias said, if any aas use is being stopped...there are alot of factors here, so the more specific u can be as to whether u will still be training/going off aas (not sure if u r on or not) and any other factors the more we can be able to help

Of course I will still train! This is my passion !!! And I will continue to win, just may take a little longer. I am going to lower by work load back down to 2 exercises per day, something like

Mon A) Deadlifts/Pulldowns
B) Squats/Reverse hypers

Wed - Bench Press/Sit ups

Fri - A) Speed squats/power cleans
B) Speed deadlifts/Snatches

Sat - A) Overhead Jerks/Floor Presses/Curls
B) Military Press/Laterals/Rear Delts

Sun -Strongman training ... One heavy event and one conditioning event (Going to nail perfect form on EVERYTHING)

so we are talkin bout u comin off aas then and how it'll effect ur strength level and how long it'll take to gain back the aas strength while natural?

No. I am talking about how long it will take to stop declining and start moving forward again in terms of static strength ... I realize it will be something like - \___/ ... i want to know how long it will be until i hit the upward slope again

Similar....

Started getting my clark kent on about 6 months ago after being superman for almost 2 yrs straight... (25 years old) First 3 months were real rough and strength plummeted. I am on par with you when on, 415 bench, 495 squats for a good 8 reps...but it all went way down for a bit, I am just now starting to see some strength gains again. But still not close to when i was in superhero mode. No, i didnt take any time off, and i train as hard as ever, like you, i love to train. I didnt lose much wght but definately got softer...
Its a long road bro, but at your age you should bounce back quick with a good pct. I also used tribestan, humanofort and zma as for natty supps. Seemed to help, at least in my mind. But quick answer, its taking me 6 months to start making my way back but its nothing compared to the gains when on obviously. Pm me if you want some more details, were about the same age and in the same position. Best of luck bro, take care
