Traveling Overseas and Meals?

What do you guys take with you when you travel? I'm trying to compile a list of things to take with me so I don't eat the shitty fast-food in the airport. Remember some air-ports don't allow a big-load of liquids to pass through at times.

I was thinking to just take with me

Shaker Cups,
Protein Powder 5lb'er max to carry
Protein Bars (Probably better macros if home-made)
BCAA/EAA powder or chewies

Snacks: Maybe Almonds, Walnuts.

Can't think of anything else.

Are you dieting for a show? if not, I don't see why you can't just be creative and eat out. Yes, definitely bring bars and powder, but I am very certain you can find things in the airport and in restaurants that are healthy enough...

yea man , unless your dieting for a show or somthing I wouldent worry about , just chill a bit and give bodybuilding a break , eat some good food and enjoy it.
3-4 days of not dieting isn't gonna kill you (unless you're in prep) just spread your meals out and give it a little thought when you order and you'll be fine

then their is always powder and beef jerky

The biggest issue with me is the sheer quantity of food I need to eat. It becomes very expensive to eat out 7-8 times a day. Shakes, bars, and that stuff is basically just a snack for me. Without real solid food like chicken and rice or fish and potatoes...etc I am just in this state of constant hunger. It makes me wonder how the pros travel so much, I assume they have people at their destinations that provide the meals because logistically it isn't even possible to stop at a restaurant every 2.5 hours and do anything else.

when i was traveling alot i found that eating off the mainsteam helped alot with cost , eating at smaller cafes and restraunts helped with cost and often had better food and for the most part was alot cheaper than american food.

I worked in Northern Africa for a while and got hooked up with a "farmer" that made jerky , I could get 10 pounds of camel and goat jerky for $10 worth of stuff like razors , tooth brushes , tooth paste , OTC pain meds.

Get away from the main stream and explore a little but dont be shocked if your looked at like a freak

OK so if you eat 7 times per day, bring enough of your own stuff to cover you for 4 meals per day, and then buy the rest of your food. So you're only eating out 3 times per day and having bars, shakes, jerky, nuts, etc. the rest. I think you are stressing about this too much. I travel for work every week Mon-Thurs and I eat 6 times per day. Work actually gives me money for meals, $40 per day (which, btw, is more than i need. I get by on $30 easily), and I use that on 3 meals. The rest I have bars and shakes.
