Got a few questions if someone could help me out. I know a lot of you use TP as your source for protein powders.

Of course I am trying to find the best price per servning, like everyone else does. But where do I start? I see they have a special for "Recession" and the best priced in the WPC/WPI blend....has anyone used this?

Also, how do the flavor packs work? Suggestions on flavors? I dont need much to satisfy my taste bud, maybe just not get a flavor pack

I have been using Isopure for years but if I can get the same quality and save a couple bucks that would be great.

Quality and mixability are more important to me than flavor.

i usually get 16 pounds of the cold filtiration isolate whey. if you order 16 pounds or more you get 5% off your order. you can pay an extra .75/pound to have your protein flavoured with a premium flavour. id recommend the premium flavours, the free ones dont taste very good

the flavour packs are basically flavouring but not mixed in the protein. so you can add as much or as little as you like. i really like the dutch chocolate fudge and peanut butter and jelly flavours.

Not a super lot...digestion rates..in a life time the .00000000002 seconds it takes for something to digest longer won't matter.

A quality isolate is virtually lactose and fat free without carbs, while a concentrate can vary greatly in quality. The lactose, fat and carb quantity is significantly greater than an isolate and usually peaking at about 80% protein by weight where as the isolate could be 93% maybe even more. The final process of manufacturing to produce an isolate, (i.e. Ion exchange, crossflow, and cold filtration) which is best could be left to debate, but most will agree that a processing method that uses as little heat as possible is best as this will preserve the most bio-active parts of the whey, Like alpha-lactobulin, bovine serum albumin, and numerous others. I think personally the ion exchange and cold filtration are the best ways.

Well I am by no means a competitive bodybuilder or athlete so I think the cheapeest, which is the WPC/WPI mixture would be fine for me. Thanks guys.

cheapest whey will do you perfectly, perfectly fine.

it's definitely worth it to spend extra for the premium flavors. The normal flavors taste like shit like pretty much all protein powders, but the premium ones are actually pretty damn good. The orange cream is the best tasting protein powder I've ever had.

the difference between concentrate and the isolates is that the isolates have no lactose while the concentrates do. this can be critical depending on how your body reacts to lactose.

the flavor packs will allow you to add flavor as you see fit. some people like more or less flavoring than is put into the protein by the people over at trueprotein. it also allows you to experiment with several different flavors instead of having 7 different jugs of the same protein all in different flavors.

If cost is your main concern, why not get the Recession Whey that's 100% concentrate? (assuming you don't have any problems digesting it).

It's $20 cheaper than the WPC/WPI mix.
