Try this it's good !!!

2 cans tuna in water( drained)
2 egg whites beaten
1/2 cup of chopped onions
1/2 pack of saltine crackers ( wheat or multi-grain) flavored crushed up
salt and pepper to taste if you want

Mix all together in bowl , then form as big or as little burgers by hand as you want. In a frying pan spray with Pam or olive oil spray . Place burgers in pan cook until golden brown on one side and flip and cook til golden brown on other side. Put on wheat buns with light mayo or mustard and top with tomato.

That sounds really good! My girl and i make salmon burgers pretty much the same way.

YUMMY!!!

I usually eat my tuna late at night...is there anything i could substitute for the crackers to hold it together to get rid of the late night carbs????

I can't think of anything that would work off hand

If you wanna add some kick to it add a lil texas pete to it.

do these stilll have the distinct tuna taste?
I'd like the protein from tuna but cant get past the taste.

Alin, I always mix tuna with non-fat myo, what a difference.

I have made them similar in the past. I used Italian seasoned bread crumbs though :) If you fry them in olive oil they kind of taste like a crab cake.

No not really it's more like salmon to me. also if you use mustard it takes the tuna out of it to.

okay so i just tried this... but my tuna felll apart... should i have used bread crumbs or something? now i just have ground tuna... haha i will make a salad with it

I'm curious about this as well???

PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!! :D

Or you could buy the low carb bread (think its 3-4 grams per slice) and pull that apart after you toast it.

I buy low sodium tuna and make these every week. I put in some Olive Oil and that "healthy" mayo type stuff with onions and sugar free sweet pickles. I make a lot and keep them for "snacks". Mine hold together ok without the carb filler.

These are actually one of my favorite foods, and I measured them out one time to meet my macro ratios for Phil. I actually eat them cold or hot. I have occasionally added a little Mrs. Dash for seasoning and a little lemon pepper as well.

My wife has made something like this for years.

She uses whole eggs, bread crumbs, chopped celery and onions. Sticks together and does not have that distinct tuna taste. i usually eat them like nuggets and dip them in ketchup or mayo.
