Vitamin D

10,000 IU's a day and my tested levels (25 hydroxyl) are usually 69-70.

In AM on empty stomach before going for a hump with the dogs.
 
I take 10,000 a day also and that keeps my blood level at the high end of normal. It has boosted my immune system substantially. It is IMPERATIVE that you take K2 with vitamin D3 and calcium. K2 drives calcium into the bone and keeps it from calcifying your vessel walls.

This is the reason that Vitamin D is used as an effective rat poison. It is crucial to supplement with K2 also!

Would a combined K2:VitD supplement suffice i.e. getting Ca from diet?

Any suggestions regarding ratio K2:VitD:Ca etc?

I wouldn't take any additional calcium supplement. Excess calcium is very very bad for you.
 
At 10,000 IUs a day my Ca+ levels are high/normal on blood tests 3x yr.

Any more than 10K of Vit D3, and I'd start taking K2 of the mk4 type at 1000mcg or 1 mg per 10,000 UIs Vit D3.

If you want to dive into this a good (cheap) book is Jeff T. Bowles "Vitamin D3"
 
I was not intending to take additional calcium but was unsure as to how much vit K was required with vit D supplementation.

Just noticed the "mk 4" re: Vit K2. Why this particular type?

A number of people are sensitive to the K2 MK7 type and their heart races and blood pressure issues....MK4 type of K2 apparently doesn't cause therse sides
