What are your top 5 video production topics that you wish to learn more about?

I'm in the process of creating an ebook of video tips and I'd like your input so that I know what the most important shooting and editing topics are that I should be covering.

Please don't include the ubiquitous "What camera should I buy?" question! There are video forums all over the internet that are devoted to that question. I don't think I have anything to add to it!

I have had some minor experience in video editing shooting footage off of the Sony VX1000 and the Cannon GL1. To this day I still think the old VX1000 shoots great digital video. What I had a tough time with was navigating through Final Cut and After Effects. This might be too basic of a topic but anyone wanting to start editing their own stuff needs to know how to do things like voice overs and all the crap that took me forever to figure out.

It's never too basic to learn how to use your software better. However, I was hoping to create an ebook (and hopefully a website that goes with it) that assumes a working knowledge of the software but will help amateur videographer/editors push their artistry to a higher level.

I would say the most helpful to amateurs would be lighting, audio and basic shot composition. If you can get those down the software will come gradually and plus there are a million tutorials on post work for many different NLE’s.
