Did my 2nd show this year with my GF.... We both placed 4th in some pretty deep classes this past weekend at the Florida Grand Prix... now i'm looking at some time before getting ready for Nationals in November.... next year I plan on moving up to Classic Physique .... the wheels need work... was wondering if any of you fellas with tree trunks for wheels can share any of your leg routines and maybe some tips to really get some growth going... Obviously calories will be there... I realize that I can't be afraid to eat and can't worry about my teeny tiny waist... just gotta train my ass off and eat like a beast.... any input would be greatly appreciated....

My friend was trained by John Meadows and he showed me the leg routine.
It's freaking intense!!!
You may want to hit JM up.
 
It wasn't until I was squatting 405 and up for 8-12 deep reps that I really noticed overall leg size
 
I have always thought it best to ask guys that have grown there legs against all odds how they did it, rather than guys who have genetically gifted legs.
ie, I wouldn't ask branch warren or big ramy what they do for legs cuz prob anything will work.

I think they need bit more volume than other body parts largely due to the fiber they are likely made of...
Not everyone will have BIG wheels but I think everyone can achieve balanced wheels...

You gotta get straight up nasty on them
Waaaay more so than other body parts
gotta go to a different place mentally and do that consistently

from personal experience higher reps worked great for me. low reps high weights were great for my ego but didn't do to much for size.
best results I get is a few weeks building strength with lower reps then once I reach my goal weight I start working on increasing reps up to 20-25 and run that rep range for a few weeks then start all over again.

Whoa baby!!! Hell yeah... Tenny i'll post a couple pics tonight.... and yes im no spring chicken... (46 years young) ... appreciate all the insight fellas'!
 
Higher reps have helped me build good quads but my hamstrings lack. But definitely high rep like DC widowmakers are gonna pack on some size. It may not work for others

i just pm's mytreefiddy with my routine. i gained just under 2 inches and added 75lbs to my squat in 13 weeks. ;)

nah, high volume with heavy weights is the ticket. high reps wont do it.

BINGO!!! most guys dont have the mental capacity to do what it takes. high volume, heavy weight. trust me. ;)

can you handle it? do you have the mental capacity? when i did this routine i did NOTHING but SQUATS for 13 WEEKS! squatting 3-4 days/week. on the days i was not under the bar i was in the gym stretching and rolling.
