I was the thinking the same thing a couple days ago after looking at an old musclemag...he used to be a big muscletech athlete as an amateur. I remember hearing an interview on him, but I dont think he could cut it...he never dialed himself in perfectly to win a show. I am not sure if he has given up, but he def has not been around lately. Would also like to know what happened to this guy. I always admired his physique.

He is still competing. He hasnt been placing very well the last 2 years or so and I used to be a huge fan of his physique, but the last few shows he has been way off and his mid section's skin looks odd. But apparently he's is going to get serious this year and give it an honest go at it again. I wish him well.

He and I were in a comp together when we were both 19.. that fucker won the teen and overall...thought for sure he woulda turned pro.

A guy at my gym told me that rec drug use was to blame and he dissapeared to dry out. I figured, well isnt that "every" competitors story who vanishes? That's why I'm asking. See if that shit's true or not!
I just remeber him guest posing along w/J.P. Fux at a local show in 2000 and he looked great. He wasnt no 300 plus pound off season J.P but hell, he looked alot better!

Yeah, rec drug use was obvious in his lifestyle. I can prove it. A LONG time ago, back in early 2001, he guest posed at a show in my home town (I'll keep that annon). Well, I dated the wrong person, and thank God I didn't ever marry her, but this was the fall of our relationship for sure:

We got in a fight, I went home, she went out with her slutty friends. Big ol Erik ends up at the same club as they were, and before you know it, they're all at an afterparty and Eriks running around in his underwear, drinking "GHB" like it's going out of style, and snorting coke all night. Ends up hooking up with my girl, doing who knows what.

Bottom line, is that's a fact of what happened, so I can assure you, from that incedent, and hearing how he just couldn't keep the drug use out of his life, probably had a good bit to do with the way he ended up looking at the 04 show.

Great looking physique for sure, he would have gone a long way, but you know how the pary life can end up consuming you.

And not to mention all the p*ssy. hehe

I wish he posted or looked at this board, because he would remember the incident if I rattled his brain about what city he guest posed in. lol
