I hear alot of guys using Vitargo Post-Workout?

Apparently it is good to restore glycogen levels..most I see mix with A good Protein Powder and Glutamine

I am interested in opinions on this as opposed to a Post-Workout meal. Which is the better option?

RONJON

I have read alot of good things about this Dave Palumbo has an article on his site about it. I am thinking about trying it also with some L glut. What brand are you looking at?

Actually just thought of looking into this..but i will let ya know bro. I would like to get some guys opinions but Yea man i hear good things about using it PWO like i said with the Protein shake and glutamine

I use Vitargo when I can afford it. Great stuff. Palumbo has an article on his site about Vitargo? Make sure its actual Vitargo and not Waxy.

Damn ive been looking around..that stuff is EXPENSIVE!!!

please dont piss your money away on this stuff, I've used it before on a few seperate occasions, its not going to do anything that waxy maize or maltodextrin wont do. It will not make enough difference to justify its $60 price tag

Ive heard dextose is far inferior to vitargo since its not sugar-free. And most say that its a little better than waxy i believe and its getting harder to find pure vitargo...

..where are some good buys on this stuff guys???

if you use it, dont mix it with your protein, take the vitargo first as if you add more protein to it, it will slow absorption. take the vitargo then 20 min later your protein. I agree with abolish, i wouldnt waste my money...buy some creatine and waxy for far cheaper and get the same results.

Ingredients in vitargo:

Ingredients
Ultra High-Molecular Weight (2,000,000-10,000,000) Long Chain Native Waxy Maize Starch, Pure Pharmaceutical Grade Creatine Monohydrate, Natural And Artificial Flavor, Citric Acid, Osmosis Balancing Electrolytes™ (Dipotassium Phosphate, Di-Sodium Phosphate, Di-Magnesium Phosphate), Silicon Dioxide, Sucralose, FD&C Red #40

that'd be the smartest thing to do right there. That Vitargo isnt worth the money, no f'in way, I've used it before on a few diff occasions, wish I never wasted the money. Just think dude, you can get like 3 jugs of waxy maize for the cost of 1 jug of that stuff

No you will not with waxy...is buying a gallon of whole milk gonna yield the same thing as whey hydrolasates or BCAAs, etc.... no, the vitargo is extracted FROM waxy or barley, or other carbs....zero studies on waxy and after using both of them, there is a HUGE difference... karbolyn is close to vitargo, and even palatinose is better than waxy

WAXY IS GARBAGE GUYS. DONT FALL FOR IT. if you truly know your shit...you will see that the ONLY two alternatives really are Vitargo OR Dextrose. And to be honest, Milos pointed out to me that Dextrose is just as good as vitargo at spiking insulin and nutrient transport. Vitargo may do it a little quicker but the only advantage Vitargo TRULY has is when you consume 80+g of it at once. 80,100,150g at once (with slin in most cases) is SUPERIOR ONLY BECAUSE all that will not sit in your stomach long due to fantastic gastric emptying. Its a comfort thing and in large amounts Vitargo gets through you much easier.
Think about it...hospitals all over use dextrose and only dextrose as a transporter. Dont you think theyd use Vitargo if it was better at shuttling?

Vitargo expensive?
Strange here in europe its amazing so cheap.
I really like this product a lot

I agree with these guys. After a lot of reading etc, Waxy is a load of crap. Stick to Dextrose or Vitargo. If Dextrose causes you some bloat then use Vitargo. If it doesn't then save your cash and stick with Dextrose

So the thing that distinguishes Vitargo from Waxy Maize is the procedure by which ordinary rice, barley, corn or potatoes are converted in to this "unique product" Vitargo.

What makes this procedure so special is not told by the Vitargo Company...

I don't know if the recent critical articles about Waxy Maize (like fom David Barr and Will Brink) are just a result of a new marketing strategy of the Vitargo Company that feels threatened by these cheaper Waxy Maize products or if there really is a difference between the two products.

There is, practical experience on myself and all of my clients dieting for shows, for refeeds, carb loads, etc... a 100 gram serving of vitargo or karbolyn post workout literally can make one almost feel hypo while literally feeling full as a tick, no stomach bloat....waxy does NOT feel remotely close to this...do I work in the industry, yes, but for a company who has neither a waxy, karbolyn or vitargo based product...

i've used both for months at a time and never produced any result from one that i did not get from the other. my information has all came from massive g and a lot of research done over at intense muscle. to each his own, i just use dextrose.

I'm with you on this one

I second that. Like I said above bro, dont waste your money. There is so much more you can get for the money that would be more beneficial to you than Vitargo. Come on now seriously, are any physiques on the local or national circuit changing that much since this magical Vitargo? The only thing that really leveled the playing field since the mid-late 80's has been GH and insulin, other than that how much of what is out there is hyped out bullshit right now?

Used it personally, great, great stuff. Pricey though.
