I read Chads MD article about his work that you mentioned and that is what made me post the poll. Most important it has ended any doubt I had about Ronnie comming in this year. I have spent the last 12 months in doubt that my hero was finished. But not anymore! That article did it for me and put my mind to rest once and for all.

I agree. I also left out Melvin, Dex, and some other strong contenders whos name should have been mentioned. I just know what I know about how the O works and to think there will be any supprises beyond it being between Jay, Ronnie and Vic are just not in the forcast as I see it. But what do I know

Here is the thing....

Nobody is going to say in an interview that things are going crappy. Come on....you are going to say things are going the best they ever have and that they are showing up in the best condition possible. I remember last year on Larry Pepe's Muscle radio they had Chad Nicholls on and he was saying Ronnie was in the low 290's and stage ready (that was with two weeks to go). If Ronnie comes in with a watery upper half like he did last year and in 2001 then he is going to get beat. Its just that simple. I'm not a Jay Cutler fan by any means but it seems that those two guys (Jay and Ronnie) have pulled away from everyone else and it's really just a battle of each one of them not making mistakes. If one comes in off and the other does not then there is your victor. Saying anyone else has a shot is honestly just wishful thinking. Victor Martinez is comming on strong but he still is a ways away from beating those guys. About the best way to make a good observation is buying some tickets, going to the pre-judging, and then seeing the athletes in person. Even then people are just delusional in some aspects and would say Jay won it even if he say forgot to diet for the show and had an arm missing....and vise versa for Ronnie. Two more weeks and then you can see who retains or gives up the crown.

Ill agree with that. For me, I have a favorite and like any sport where you are a fan, you cheer on your favorite and I think its close enough to the show to start cheering. I agree with your post 100% however. Very well said!

as much as it pains me to say this

i think jay will win. i absolutely HATE to say that, because big ron will always be the greatest in my opinion, i just think his tricep and lat are really going to keep him from overtaking cutler. i hope to GOD he does though!!!!!

I really wished for Ron a 9th victory but after his lose last year it was the end of the road...the dude doesnt look so good that I think he might place 3rd.

I think with recent pics Ronnie will take it again. I also think this will not be his last year. If he wins, he will be back to defend it. From the pics I think he's looking way better than last year. Jay, however, is my favorite.
