You get to train with one person, anybody, alive or dead. Who are you choosing and why?

Discussion purely for fun. Personally, it is hard to pick because there are so many great answers, but I'd probably land on Platz. I mean it was like the guy didn't feel pain. I think a leg session with Tom would be one for the ages.

After Platz it would Arnie, Dorian, Branch

My coach Steve who passed away a few months ago....... I miss him dearly.......2nd is John Meadows

I feel james hollingshead would be a awesome training partner if you like to train his style.

I would have to say a workout with Hany Rambod, Lee Priest in his prime (high volume with perfect form), then John Meadows or David Henry (love both of their styles).

I also have to say i loved watching ronnie and kevin train back in the day

I think it’s interesting most are picking past generation bodybuilders and nobody from today, including myself.

What does that say about today’s training style for guys. 🤔

I’ll be honest… I think that the low volume high intensity approach that most guys use these days is a bit boring 😬

But also, I think a big factor is most of us grew up watching these older guys, and of course the chance to train with someone who is no longer active in the sport seems like more of an opportunity.

I agree as I grew up watching DVD’s of Jay, Ronnie, Levrone, and Lee Priest.

But on the other hand now days I watch Derek, CBUM, Samson and Hadi train on YouTube during my cardio some days and it’s just not the same IMO. The passion and intensity is lacking.

Platz is maybe my fav BBer but think i would disappoint myself trying to train with him. John Meadows may be it from the more modern era. Bill Pearl from the days gone by crowd.

maybe we all got nostalgia glasses on, cause I love the old Shawn Ray vids even though his personality would make him a terrible training partner probably
