it came in at a low angle it broke apart and hit earth in pieces. Museum
officials have recovered some of it which could be worth a lot of money

What im about to tell you should scare the ever living shit out of you. We have accounted for only 3% of the rocky material in our own solar system large enough to cause a global catastrophy. Meaning that we have, at this time, 30000+ big ass rocks were tracking. and a good 3million more we dont know about. Theres is a better chance of a doomsday meteor hitting the earth tomorrow than there is of you being hit by a car. Statistically speaking we are several million years overdue for another impact event.
