Your thoughts on cheat meals/days?

Hi.

I just wanted to find out peoples thoughts here on cheat meals/days. Whether they be offseason or precontest.

Do you think they are beneficial? Reason for using them?

Do you have cheat meals or cheat days?

How often do encorporate cheat meals or days?

What kind of foods do you use for this purpose?

As a former fat boy I crave junk food. I can live without it but I'd rather not and I'm trying to figure out whether using cheat meals is going to make a difference in a positive or negative way. Goal is to stay lean but still enjoy myself.
 
Cheat meal would consist of say a couple of subs from subway or something to that matter....We are not talking about micky D's. Something with taste. A cheat meal for me while starting my diet would be using some hot sauce or something like that....offseason it would be subway once a week for one meal. Even in the offseason junk food isn't good for you because it toxify's the body by a process called oxidation, increasing catabolism at a cellular level. So now you are not only recovering from your workout but also from your meals. Your recovery will be faster if you say away the junk food.
