YOUR thoughts on rHGH testing for Pro Athletes

Since this so called "Mitchell report" came to public light, there has been talk as to whether or not Pro Athletes should/will be tested for rHGH in the future! At present, there is NO accurate rHGH testing protocol and "they" claim it would take years and cost millions to both research and develop one!

I am curious as to everyones opinion on this matter!


1.Do you think that "they" will ever develop an accurate protocol to test athletes for rHGH?

2. If NO, Why not?

3. If YES, how soon do you anticipate this taking effect?

I'm sure they will develop a test but it's a waste of time and resources in my opinion. I also think that the sports they want to test player's unions will throw a fit and say its not ok to test their athletes as it would be a complete invasion of privacy. They would have to draw blood for something like that and I was listening to a couple guys on a sports talk radio show say it will never fly. Its just too invasive.

Can't we solve real problems? Maybe spend money on a problem worth funding with tax payers money? The funny thing is if they ever did come up with some insane testing policy that wiped out anabolics and GH from being used, I think you would see more injuries to the players and less fan turn out for most of these sports. We as a society want to see 500ft homers and sub 10 sec 100 yard dash times, not to mention a running back getting clocked upside his helmet by a huge defensive linebacker. Its what makes the game exciting. It's what makes me want to go to a game and spend 75-100 dollars a ticket. Take that "super human" athlete element away from sports and watch revenue take a dip and share holders crap their pants. I don't blame athletes doing what they need to do to be competitive and I sure as hell would never point a finger at someone for using. After all, we are the ones driving them to better than the next guy in the first place.

No, because the way I look at it sporting events are there for entertainment if a guy using hgh will let repair faster hence hit a few more home runs or dunk more ect. and for the price of tickets then, entertain me. I’ve said the same thing about cycling, have a natural and a not natural league and see who gets the sponsors.

If they do develop the the test I hope they fine the ones who are not using hgh. These are professonals and are being paid (often more than quite well) to squeeze every bit of performance they can out of their bodies. If they fail to use every tool at their disposal to do so they should be penalized.
