Intra workout carbs are fine. George Farrah had my friend drinking a Gatorade intra workout all the way up to his show and he won the overall New Jersey State.
Berries are fine. They’re low in calories and good for your immune system.
It's overall energy balance that is most important so basically calories in vs out. Sure there is more to it than that and timing of certain macros can be a factor. You can still have some berries even on keto you just have to be careful. The net carb count of blackberries and raspberries for example is very low. So I have added a few to whole egg salads (maybe some meat) and drizzled in olive oil. When I transition thats what I will basically be eating through the day (lean meat and salad/greens). At the moment I am not eating that much meat but it will be increased. I will lower the fat and add in carbs at certain times. Even at my leanest ever I was having 300g carbs most days. Obviously not contest lean but I was pretty lean so I know what works for me. I also felt really good and at no time was it a struggle. If I wanted to go further than that I would simply have more lower days an diet for longer... quite simple really.
That was the least intense workout I have had in a long time but it felt good. I trained arms and calves in the end. Nice and relaxed but still fairly quick paced with various supersets. Nothing crazy but I went near failure many times. It was more about getting a pump and being active. Kept the weight fairly moderate and the reps very slow and controlled. I am still exhausted though. I also spent a good time on direct forearm work which I have neglected in recent months. Then lot's of stretching and finished with a sauna and made sure to end with an ice cold shower on my back for a good few minutes.
