Abs cramping bad

Lately i am not able to do abs at all. Ill do 2 sets of 20 and that’s it, they start cramping pretty bad, same with my lover back. I know lower back could be due to D-bol, but why abs?
It’s embarrassing, sometimes i have to stretch so bad and make ugly face while trying not to show pain at the gym:)


Anything to prevent abs from cramping?:mad:
 
I have been experiencing the same problem, as I only started training abs after a while. After 3 weeks those cramps gone. You might try to increase your water intake, and potasium ( banana(s)? ). You could be just dehydrated. Streching abs is also a good idea.
 
i would say either potassium or taurine deficiency. get bananas and taurine and see if it helps. I get those when i run clen BAD

Man, I have had this problem for a long time. I think I will always have it a little bit. I just had to keep working them a little at a time to strengthen the ab muscles.
 
I drink lots of water, about 3 jugs of 62 oz a day
could be potassium, but man its killing me :mad:

That shit used to happen to me EVERY time i did abs, but since taking potassium, magnesium, and cutting out salt it doesnt happen anymore.
 
This happens to me too, in the upper abs. I also drink a ton of water and fluids all day.
Taurine sounds like a good bet - I had forgotten about using it this way.
 
By drinking gallons of water a day your actually flushing out electrolyts, not to mention sweating. I had the same problem till I added gaterade and bought some electrolyte packs to add to my water. Problem solved.

Same here. I get this also, and the more water I drink the worse it gets. After a ton of trail and error, I've found that the only way I can train abs is by drinking a Gatorade or powerade while doing abs and by doing them first. It won't work after weight training because I've already lost too many electrolytes from sweating.

Just a side note...The powerade zero works just as good as the ones with sugar in them. Chewing on bullion cubs also helps a little.
 
my abs would cramp like no other, 3 grams of taurine fixed it
 
Gatorade during workouts and also incorporating leg lifts to strengthen the abs and get a good stretch while doing so helped me out a lot. I still get a cramp here and there but i think its getting better. When they lock up it feels like a puzzle coming together that you can't get unstuck its a pretty shitty feeling.

Does it take a while to build up in your system? I tried this everyday for at least a week and a half. Had zero effect. Also, I definitely notice that more water I drink, the worse my cramps get.

For me it seems I need sodium.
