Adequan or Aflutop? Which would be best for tendons??

ive heard a lot of good things about adequan for joints ,etc, but unless your in tight with a vet. its going to be hard get.i tried for about 6 months with no luck and gave up. aflutop on the other hand seems to be alot easier to get ,in fact i think some of the board sponsers have it. if you try either one let us know if it helps. tap

I had good luck with alflutop. Adequan seems damn near impossible to get. But neither are for tendons...just joints.

im interested in aflutop myself.i used to do some powerlifting and the heavy benching back then and the mma training im doing keeps my shoulders in agony.mostly poping and lockinking up when theyre cold.does this stuff act as a lubricant for joint or what action does it have in helping pain ?tap

adequan no contest, but as was mentioned before, it can be hard to get.

Basically it destroys the oxidation that destroys the cartiladge. When the oxidants are destroyed the cartiladge is able to rebuild. It worked very well for me.

I tried afflutops for knee pain and didnt really notice much. I talked to one guy at my gym who tried Adequen for his knee pain and said it was like night and day difference, but like everyone else here is saying, its really hard to get unless you know a vet

I just started adequen(ichon) gonna do 100mg 3x per week. I hear its amazing for joints,ligaments and tendons as well as cramped muscles,etc... pretty much everything and has zero side effects.

Adequan is the equine version, & I believe that aflutop is the canine version. I have heard from many that Adequan is much more effective.

I've been reading some old posts on adequen doses and it seems like times have changed. I see guys used to use 150mg a week and thats it. Only 1x per week. From researching i've found avg is 100-125mg 3x per week. Maybe its diff for canine v.s. equine though. The kind im referring to is Ichon.

Adequan and Aflutop are different drugs.

Adequan is synthesized from the extract of beef collagen from cow trachea. Due to the risk of BSE (mad cow), the human version (arteparon) was pulled from the market, and the vet version (Adequan) is very, very tightly controlled. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.

Aflutop is synthesized from fish. But the same idea.

Another great drug is Pentosan. Synthesized from beech tree cellulose. Some very, very promising results in controlled studies in Australia on arthritis of the knee. I've heard, hahaha, that the stuff is great and provides serious relief from joint pain. Also good for tendon / cartilage repair in general.
