Anavar = Kidney Toxic?

whacked

I’ve read how it’s metabolized largely through the kidneys.

Does that make it extra stressful to the kidneys; thus lending itself to being nephrotoxic?

Thanks

It's liver toxic, just as much as any 17alkylated oral, but I haven't heard of it being hard on the kidneys (unless it raises your blood pressure, then it would be).

Lots of people will probably jump in here and say, anavar isn't as liver toxic as <x-oral> however I don't believe that to be the case if you are comparing it to other 17alkylated orals that don't have liver toxic metabolites, mg for mg, 17alkylated is 17alkylated.

Yes anavar is unique in this respect.

I have read this in the past myself, I just pulled this off of Wikipedia real fast.

PharmacokineticsEdit
The oral bioavailability of oxandrolone is 97%.[1] Its plasma protein binding is 94 to 97%.[1] The drug is metabolized primarily by the kidneys and to a lesser extent by the liver.[3][1] Oxandrolone is the only AAS that is not primarily or extensively metabolized by the liver, and this is thought to be related to its diminished hepatotoxicity relative to other AAS

Various 17aa steroids obviously have varied levels of hepatotoxicity milligram per milligram.

We wouldn't claim that 20 mg of methyl tren or superdrol is as hepatotoxic as 20 mg of anavar or proviron...

It isn't the metabolism of the drug that makes 17aa steroids hepatoxic, it is the resistance to metabolism. Also, anavar isn't "metabolized" by the kidneys, it is excreted in the urine.

Your first point is true... But I got a rhetorical question for you, so if we take 20 mg of anavar we piss out 20 mg? No

Just because it can be taken orally doesn't mean it's 17aa. Proviron is not 17aa.
