Any truth to the rumour about the US DEA bust in China?

Rumors flying around EF board now about how the US DEA was helping China's government bust a powder supplier. People saying that some China powder sources wont ship to the US now. It all sounds like a bunch of BS to me, but still scares me a bit. Anyone know what the facts are? Some are saying with the Olympics coming to Beijing in 2008, that the country is going to crack down on AAS to improve their image to the world.

Just heard back from a source, and its true. A tab source in China was busted and eveyone there is laying low now. Wont be much comming through directly to the US for awhile now. I hope everyone has what they need. Not sure how long this is going to last. Sounds like the source that was busted was one that openly advertised and took any customer that came along. They were not very discrete to put it mildly.
We all need to keep our mouths shut as much as we can, and not share sources with just anyone that asks us. Maybe Im paranoid, but id rather be safe than sorry.
There was a post at another board made by the board owner that I just could not believe. This happened a bit ago. He was so excited about getting his powder that he posted up pictures of the packaging that the source used. He revealed everything, and was bragging about it. I just couldnt believe the stupidity. I wont say what board it was, but will say that it is rather new. You would think that a board owner would know better, and realize the responsibility he has.
I am glad that this board is run well, and doesnt have all of the politics the others have.

Yeah, I doubt that the US had a lot to do with the bust. Perhaps it is true, China is trying to look good for the olymipics. Once the olympics are over then they will go back to how they were before.

I remember they got Spartak In Thailand a few years back... They wanted his guy in China but admited they couldnt touch him. So who realy knows.
Look what they did took the mex vet shops. Id have to think it would be
the China officials that had to get them though I cant see it happening without there knowledge or help.

I got the info from my source, who is golden. There was a tab guy busted he said. I didnt ask him if the US was involved, im not sure about that. He did say that he wont ship directly to the US right now. Prices might go up he said, but it will all be ok. He said not to worry. Just sounds like a minor setback for now. Most of the suppliers are laying low if they are smart.

all at how many powder sources there are though, I see new ones popping up all the time. And this hobby survived back in the 80-90's before these guys came onto the scene, things if anything, will just get more expensive. But you gotta pay to play.

yeah, the source I used said it was a tabs guy. So I guess he was selling tablets or caps.

As far as someone getting busted in China, and some of the powder sources laying low this week, its not just a rumor. That is the truth. I never said I had a secret source etc, just that the guy I use has a very good rep and I trust him very much. The bust did not affect my guy at all ,hes just being cautious by not shipping directly to the US this week, not sure how long thats going to last.
I posted this before I had heard back from my source, and was just fishing for some more info on the rumor. Just trying to gather how wide spread a problem it was, and it sounds like just that one source was busted. I was surprised to hear that there was a bust, I originally thought it as BS. I usually dont give much weight to what I read on EF.

I spend 3 month's each year in China and I can tell you that they do not have a domestic supply of anabolics. The powder suppliers are "allowed to operate" because the chemicals they mnf'r are sold outside the country and it brings in alot of foriegn currency. Our powder suppliers are not really companies in China as in comparison to the US. I am pretty sure all our powder suppliers are independent of the factories even though they use their web site or even create their own by using completely false info. I would suspect that these individual's are even employee's or ex-marketing people from these companies. If a Chinese enterprise want's to supply products for thier domestic use they or the company is controlled carefully by the provencial goverment. Not bashing these guy's or their service or quality, I am just trying to add a little insight to how it's probably done.

Back to the question, Yes I think they have had some crackdowns and possibly more to come but I surmise that it is for show due to the olympic's and the high profile of the products and aggresive law inforcement in the US. This seem's completely logical for how the Chinese operate. Hell they have a chemical spill and kill's thousands and poisons a river for years and only the head of the company get axed and publicly humiliated for show to the western world. The company stay's in business and the company head remains the owner ect.
Happen's all the time there. It's a F'ed up place in one respect but very advanced in other's.

or maybe it is just a reason to lie about him jacking his prices up....until there is some proof (cnn.com etc) it means shit. don't we have some suppliers from china on this site who can chime in?

Here in OZ the customs have just busted a huge shipment of what were toys and games. They turned out to be weapons and drugs. Now the customs will heavily scrutinize everything that comes from there. I agree with rajjin though. China is a major world player. They will not bow down to anyone. I believe they will do trade with whom ever they want when they want. As for pharm industry, they are the Suppliers to the world. Noone is going to cut them off, it would be corporate suicide for all the drug companies globaly. I do believe they will/are cracking down on the odd shipment here and ther. But that has not changed, they have been doing that all along. Someone over there gets a bit sloppy and they bust him. Keeps the feds happy as they see china to be co-operating and then they move on to someone/thing else. I do agree maldorf and I see it has sunk in a bit. About the open talk of suppliers, I'm glad to see we have all quitened down with that. It can only help to keep things ticking over.

This is rumour! I'm a Chinese; if a Chinese pharm get busted, it means it's not a registered pharm!!! that's it. If they sell gear to you americans, our country does not care. Come on, those Chinese just wanna make money, they don't care if it's legal or not in the other countries. As you mentioned, a tab source get busted. I have to concur, even though I have no special "source" in China to confirm. I have read about businessmen executed in China for cheating the government. I suspect this is along those same lines - hopefully not as harsh a penalty!

As for Big Brothers pull in China? LOL, USA can only bully countries that can't defend themselves. I'd say China is safe, from Uncle Sam's influence anyways - internally, that's a different ballgame.

The chinese have been able to pirate and counterfeit US designed software and technology with no consequences for years. This costs the US economy billions of dollars a year. The anabolic hormone business is rather small in comparison. I doubt the US can control much of anything that goes on in China.

Really if you think about it the US has been burning coca fields in Columbia for 30 years. But give me $100 and a taxi and I could probably buy crack in any major US city within the hour. Afganistan is one of the worlds largest heroin producers and we have an army stationed there. This stuff is grown out in the open and we can't stop it. How is the US gonna stop something made in a lab in a country were they have no influence.
