My sister just had a son 4weeks ago. He had an eye infection and today they checked his vitals and said he needs and EKG immediately. Then they let him go, so im presuming if they just let him go then he's fine or else they would have kept him> Anyway you know how long it takes for dr's to get back to you with results and she's really nervous so if anyone has an idea of what this means i'd appreciate it. This is the email she wrote me:
PLease tell me you can discern what the hell this means. Dr hasn't called and I'm getting nervous. So, I found several charts online indicating normal values of an infant EKG/ECG and what would indicate atrial enlargement, disruption, etc and I have his values right in front of me but I don't understand? I think maybe I'm too flustered to comprehend the info. Can you pls figure this out. Heres the link to the chart: **broken link removed** (pertinent info beginning around pg 3) and Cameron's values are as follows:
Vent. rate: 151 bpm, (I know that one's normal)
PR Interval: 112 ms
QRS Duration: 56ms
QT/QTC: 264/418 ms
P-R-T axes: 50 88 59
