This is just a rant to any dumb fack old time bodybuilders who say you can only gain 10lbs a year and other stupid fackin bullshit facts that they have stored in there heads since the time of cavemen. After a 7month lay off (injury) I've been in the gym for the last three months. Cycling 500mg of sustanon ew, 500mg of EQ ew, 60mg var ed, IGFr3 post workout at 40mcgs, gavin's insulin program with 3iu R with every meal, and 15iu log post workout, 10ius blue tops post workout, MGF on Sat and early Sun for max myoblast proliferation. I also got my diet back in check eating 4500 cals or so daily clean. So this dumb fack in my gym was talking with my buddy and my buddy told him that I had just gained 43lbs in 3 months time on the following, and this dipshit tells my buddy that maybe 3lbs was actual muscle, and the rest was water weight????? I'm lean as hell right now???? Then when my buddy argued this dumb ass told me I was being reckless with my use (never told him shit) Call me crazy but that looks like a very healthy cycle to me. Then I told him about muscle memory and even then he shit on it. I had to leave the gym before telling the fack face he knows shit all about bbing and he fat ass physique is testament. Any asshole can shovel burgers down his throat and lift weights then go home and drink beers and gain some weight. Ahhhh, sorry for the rant boys, what a dipshit.

I can see how you could put that amount of clean weight on easily since you were off for so long. 7 months is a long time to not lift. I once took off maybe 3 months and when I started back up the gains were insane. Obvisouly this guy was probably just jealous of you, and cutting on you made him feel better about himself. Your cycle doesnt look insane to me either! I recently took off just 2 weeks from lifting and then lifted really light for another 4 weeks. I had hernia surgery so had to do this. When I came back I put on about 10 pounds of quality muscle in just 5 weeks of lifting and cycling aas, after all the water weight cleared a few weeks later once I was off cycle.

Muscles are 70-80% water no matter how big or small they are. You could have put on 40lbs but even the with the normal nature of muscle, 30lbs of that still would be water.

That doesn't mean you didn't experience some hyperplasia - new muscle growth, but much of what you probably saw was hypertrophy (enlargement) of existing muscle from before you were laid off due to injury.

I don't think, even with assistance, that the human body could manufacture 40lbs of new meat in 7 months.

In other words, if you were to go off now and stop training again, you'd probably go back to a weight close to, or just a few pounds over what you were at before you returned to the gym. Assuming you continued a healthy diet, you could probably gain that 40lbs right back again fairly rapidly once you returned.

50/50. i agree with Ouch. But as we do have muscle memory I would believe there is a fair amount of muscle mass aquired. Just not the whole 40lbs. But hey that is good gaining! Don't listen to the wanna be's ause they are just envious of what we can achieve when we put our efforts in the right direction. Good work.

I agree,,I'm sure alot was muscle...some people are jealous.

I think that is an awesome gain! Anyway you slice it. I'm not being the dickhead at his gym, trying to take something away from him. I'm saying that it's awesome! But...

Not being a downer, repeat, NOT. We also have to be realistic.

If I guy's best LEAN weight ever is 200lbs, and that's the most LBM he's had, you think that within 7 months he could hit 240 and be just as lean as he was at 200? Within 7 months? No way. (Believe me, I'm the first to wish that were true!!!).

I had a shoulder injury at 240 and I didn't train for almost five months. I dropped to 220lbs but kept eating healthy. When I got back to the gym, I was back at 240 in two months. Did I gain 20lbs of muscle in that two months? No. That was blood volume increase, increased cell size from volumized cells, and yes, probably some water retension (basically back to where I left off).

Okay. Now you're at a place where you've gained 40lbs in 7months. I gained 20lbs in 2. Okay? Now try doing it again - eat the same diet, train the same way, take the same supps and see what happens. If you could gain that kind weight in that short a time, you could be competing nationally within a year! Even if a lean 160lb guy gained 40lean lbs twice, he'd be national.

But seriously, anyone who can walk away with a 40lb lean gain in 7 months has my respect! I want that guy as a trainer. Hell, I'll adopt him!

There is absolutely no way you are gaining 40lbs of lean mass in 7 months as OTH said unless you're David Banner.

That's what I was saying. It is just not in our genetics, enhanced or otherwise to gain LBM at that rate. 20lbs in a year is within reach if all the variables are correct. But not 40. I too do not want to rain on anyone's parade because the general consensus here is that is a whopping effort! 40 lbs is very impressive and I do not doubt the gains. But not all of it is water!

I disagree with everyone here because of one thing: muscle memory. Personally I have put on almost 35-40 pounds lean in the last 6 months. Before this I was down artificially low with higher BF % due to a break in training. I started back up and hopped on cycle and have got back to where I should be and passed it by a good amount. So in my opinion it is possible. Actually when I was younger I was down to 165 and over 4-5 months I put on 50 pounds, 20 of which were put on in 2-3 weeks of getting back to eating again.

stop wasting youre time bbuilding all year round, keep super lean n fit,for eight months of the year then pick a show 4 months out ,you lucky bastard:)

Disagree all you want but 40lbs of true-blue muscle is going to take a year or two at least. I think you can GAIN BACK 40lbs of muscle in months but gaining a new 40lbs? No.

From the looks of your avatar you must have been about 130 to start if it's up to date. No offense, but you are either blatantly lying, you are on some really powerful hallucinogen, the scale has it's own mind and you are in the twilight zone, or your girlfriend is taking a piggy back ride while you are on the scale. We're talking lean body mass here. End of story.

come on now kais he might be 6'6 or something cause he sure aint 5'9 210

In my avatar I am 203 at 5;10 at a horrid angle... believe it or not I could care less I share an expereince and get your attitude... and yes i am talking lean bodymass too... right now i am 220 and started my current cycle at 190 with higher BF... Crawl back in a hole and shut up

I'll probably get banned for a while for standing up to you because you are a "mod"... whatever ban me because you started shit im over it!

Well its not 40lbs of lean muscle tissue. I remember reading something on one of BigA's links saying that for every lb of lean tissue you put on, you need anywhere from .5-1.5lbs of supportive cellular fluid.

Since youre also on EQ, I think that youre blood volume is high so you might actually be at the tail end of that range. If you factor in extra water weight from the other stuff, it could be higher.

Assuming that you have 1.5lbs of fluid for every lb of muscle, the math says youve put 16lbs of lean tissue on. This means you didnt put on any fat either so it might actually be lower than 16 but not that much lower because youre coming from a long layoff too.

Conclusion: Im not sure exactly how much you put on but it wasnt 40lbs of water and it sure wasnt 40lbs of lean tissue.

Still matters how you define lean tissue. In our sport anything that isn't fat is lean tissue to me personally. Eh whatever not staying i am right becaus ei know technically you can prove i am wrong but still if it looks like muscle an dfeels like muscle then for practical standards it may as well me muscle which is lean tissue...
