arm injury

i guess i pulled or tor sumthn in the inner crease of my elbow. ive stopped trainin for 3 weeks hopn it would heel. today was 1st day back n the pain is still there. the pain comes with any type of pulling or curling. could it just need more rest or hav i damaged sumthn that might need surgery?
 
Did it build slowly or happen fast? Is the pain chronic or just very uncomfortable when you use it in the gym? Any swelling or discoloration at all during all this? Sounds like a connective tissue injury which takes lots of time to heal. Connective tissue is very fibrous and does not get a lot of blood for repair like muscle does, so its slow to heal. Be patient. If its not too bad, I would train if it was me, but stay away from any pulling or curling movements for a while or anything that makes you feel that spot. If it doesn't seem to trend better, see a doc.
 
I have the same thing. It is like it is connected to the muscles in my hand, because it's maily when I grip overhanded and raise up (front raises) that it hurts. Must be the cnnective tissue Brick was talking about. Thanks Brick that explains alot. (the blood to muscle but not to connective tissue).
