Being bigger equals more fights?

I’m trying to see if this is all in my head or, if some of you guys that have been bigger longer experience this. I have found that the bigger I’ve gotten the more I have had other men size me up or instigate a fight. Whether it be in a parking lot randomly as I’m getting out of the car , to the valet in front of a hotel, to a guy at the gym seeming to go out of his way to shoulder check me. I’m a pretty low key and kind of shy person, I really mind my business. The only thing that’s been different in my life as this has gotten more frequent is me being larger and not being able to hide my physique as well with clothing.

Is this just me? Let me know if you guys have felt this way as well. There’s some big dudes in this forum so I’m sure you guys have stories.

This depends on what part of your lifting career you are in

Initially when I began to build muscle i definitely noticed that other men would size me up constantly
I think this is normal especially if what you wear is trying to show off your muscles

But then as you train longer and hopefully get bigger and bigger you still get sized up
but there's no comparison anymore because youre so far away from average

It goes from sizing up to guys just in awe and wanting to asking how much you bench or what cycle youre running lol

I tend to where 2xl-3xl to not be showy at all
Id rather not be noticed at this point in my lifting career
and just blend in when need be

No, the opposite. People have told me many times once they get to know me that I look unapproachable. The leaner I get the more I get the up and down from women though.

I worked in clubs for 5-6 years. The big dudes were always the ones with the best demeanor.

It is the yappy short/skinny dudes who causes 90% of the shit.

In my twenties it happened all the time. Especially at Jersey shore bars. Once I got to a certain size it switched to just looks with no aggression. I remember I had a new girlfriend once and she pointed it out in target. She was like “men really like to look at you, huh?”

This is for sure more often true when you are younger. In my low 20's, at my biggest working in bars, etc....yeah. I was also out drinking and crap then or working at bars so part of it was the company I kept.

The older I got it was less and less but I strongly believe it was just the environment I put myself in. It's sort of a moot point at 41 now as I'm much smaller lol.

I am not big by bodybuilding standards 6’3 240. My wife tells me Men are always looking at me. I’ve never noticed it. I have had older people call me a shooter. lol.

The two guys that are truly big don’t even have to talk to communicate. They both already know with no extra flare or posture needed.

To the OP, this is the difference between “random big guy” and the guy that looks like a BBer. The random big guy is getting looked up and down, mean mugged, etc. The big BBer is not, those guys are asking him what he’s doing for his arms.

Well hell no they aren’t fucking with your huge ass lol.
I’m fairly short with a decent build so people aren’t nearly as intimidated.

But honestly I don’t feel like I get fucked with over it and generally get treated pretty good and with compliments but there are always the haters that get their hate from jealousy or thinking a guy that’s jacked thinks he’s “all that”

OP- do you live in a shitty area? Switch to some 3xl shirts as one of the other posters had said.

Back in the going out days, very randomly a guy would try to hard ass me because of my size. Usually they were smaller and I figured they had a good skill set. Combine that with the fact I was trying to have a good time I would just blow them off.

I will say that being a larger individual over the years has prevented me from being in bad situations more often than not.
