Biceps Tendon--what gives?

About 10 mo ago I got a cortizone injection in my biceps tendon for tendonitis. It felt better after 5 days or so. I was careful not to come back too quickly and sparingly worked biceps for 6 mo or so. Then I took 3mo off completely from the gym.

During this time, my tendon started to hurt in a different place than before, but with the same result. This is with NO exercise!

I just worked biceps with relatively heavy weight for the first time in almost a year just now and it hurts like hell. What the hell is going on here. I just turned 40, so maybe Im done for, huh?
 
id say so,u can hit the bi well doin back as a secondary movement,try to work around ur injury to still make some gains

I had the same problem... My suggestion is go to physical therapy asap and get some electric stim with an ice pack over it, let them massage it, & learn some good stretches. Sucks to deal with but mine only got better after taking a few months off from any upper body lifting...talking like 3-4 months and then I didn't do any shoulder exercises for another 2-3 months to avoid hurting it again.

Sounds like tendonosis, not the same as tendonitis the doctor treated you for, inactivity doesn't help either.

You may want to see another doctor for a 2nd opinion.
In the mean time I would avoid any movements that cause
your pain.
