Big A, I had a few questions regarding an article you wrote a while back regarding a 3-day training program, and rather than PM'ing you, I thought others may benefit from the answers (Mon-chest, shoulders, tris; Wed-quads, hams, glutes; Fri-abs, back, biceps)
Right now, at 5'10", 250 pounds, and I fluctuate between 10-15%bf. However, it doesn't seem to matter what I do, but I can't get over the 250 pound hump. That said, I've also never tried anything like what you wrote in your article. I've usually always gone with a 5-day on, 2-day off (weekends) routine. My questions are:
Was this article geared towards beginners, or do you think it would work for someone like me who has been around since the early days of bolex, the gade and the UG, has used gear of all kinds and have been working out for several years?
On chest day, you have incline chest press, and flat flyes, and I was wondering why incline rather than flat bench, and maybe incline flyes?
Is it ok to do 30-minute or so cardio on the two off days during the week.
Lastly, for back day, would it be ok to alternate weighted pull-ups with the pull-downs in your plan?
My ultimate goal is competition, and right now, I'm the second biggest guy in my gym, and from what I've seen, it looks to me like he is following something much closer to what you wrote than to what I do....I don't like scond place
Well, like I said, I've never tried anything close to what you wrote, if this article was intended for all and not just beginners, beginning this Monday, I'm going to follow your plan to a T, and I'll report in and let you know how its going. Thanks for the great article, and thanks always for your time and for all of your contributions to the best board on the net.
