yeah, its not really much BB related, but i would definitely be interested in that.... there are tons of computer boards, but its nice having a board like this with people you know and a lot of traffic...

im sure i could chime in here or there as well... kaiser might put me in my place, but its all good.. haha

Kais, send BigA a PM. I like the idea myself. I love technology. I love bitching about it too! I'd say it's a hobby of mine, no doubt about it. I like it when I can combine my hobbies.

For instance, I recently found out that a full metal jacket from my .45 ACP could not penetrate through a seagate cheetah 40Gb IDE drive? Close but no cigar. It took a Hi-vel .40 from the glock 23... that did it...

Before you say killing a hard drive for fun is cruel, let me mention that this one had bad sectors and forced me to reinstall windows. It's still spinning but it's doing its spinning in HELL.

LOL, yeah, a bullet will cause a hard drive funeral. Did you lose any important data? If you get in those types of situations let me know before you shoot it!

Anyway, yeah I wanted to keep a forum here to help the people on here. I am already on so many forums just for computers. I was a Microsoft MVP 3 years in a row when I was posting heavy in those which is an award given to less than 200 people in the world for knowledge and helping the forum communities.

Fortunately no... I bought an external hard drive and a Iomega REV drive to backup to. My video and audio is on a RAID 5 SATA array but I don't have the media (at least capacity) to back all that up. I only backup what I can't afford to lose. Besides, why fight to save a 40Gb hard drive? As I took it out and put in a 120Gb replacement, I thought "I wonder if a bullet could even get through this thing?" Because it pretty heavy. Now I know...

Lesson is, anyone attacks you in the home, DUCK BEHIND YOUR PC... it could save your life! But you might lose valuable MP3's.
