There is no way he will do all of this

If your doc knows an anus from an ulna, then he/she would be inclined to draw blood to check serum levels of folate and cyanocobalamin. Afterwards, replete the iron with this classic protocol:
Week 1 - 1,000 mcg iron dextran IM Qday x 7 days
Week 2 - 1,000 mcg iron dextran IM once
Week 3 - 1,000 mcg iron dextran IM once
Week 4 - 1,000 mcg iron dextran IM once
Week 5 - Recheck Iron studies with ferritin, folate, and B-12.

This is what I see when viewing your blood work.

Then get a new doc b/c this is a quick, simple, and commonly used method to tx symptomatic iron deficiency.

To be honest, I'd be highly suspect of any non-psychiatric doc who reflexively turfs this case to a Hematology "specialist". You'll be under the microscope enduring bone marrow biopsies before you realize what the hell is going on.

I’ll see what he says and go from there. I have no clue what your breakdown is of my bloodwork. This doc is a GP but a gastro specialist

I had a bone marrow biopsy done once, it wasn't too bad! My hematologist was checking for polycythemia Vera I think.

Exactly! Sure, PV is a possibility albeit a rare one but a sound diagnostician reserves invasive and painful testing procedures for 4th and goal situations.

Right. They couldn't figure out what was causing it and it was important to rule that out since I have heart failure. I tested negative for any problems with the bone marrow, so I think now its assumed that my exogenous test injections are causing it, im on 100 mg/wk hrt. I think there is also some reason to look at heart failure contributing some to it too.
