Boosting Immune System Naturally

What would be some useful supplements to boost ones immune system to its maximum potential?

Yah, bump on this. I get sick like 4x a year with colds and 1flu a year. I take vit c 3000mg daily, 400iu vit E daily,multi vitamen,glutamine, calcium and magnesium. There has gotta be other stuff that can make it stronger.

but i would think a good Ant-Oxidant formula would be a good choice as well. I always notices when i eat foods rich in anti-oxs i feel much healthier.

i am a huge fan of echincea as well as anti-oxidants i also read a study a year or so back when i managed a vitamin world, on the immune boosting effects of ingesting the shitake mushroom. or atleast its extract..ill try to find it and post it up as it was interesting. i never tried it as it was really expensive to buy at the time

They say the shittake mushroom with a few other shrooms is gonna be the new cure for the bird flu? It acts as tamiflu. The article was written in a magazine that sells a product called immune-rx

My two cents... a healthy diet with plenty of fresh green leafy vegtables (spinich, broccoli) plenty of sleep, good stress control, zinc, will go along way. Oh yeah...wash your hands a lot and keep 'em away from your face.

for something like the Immune System you dont want to go the cheap route, this is why your probably staying sick so often, in my opinion finding a product with all 3 combined wont give you the best effect because each supp will probably be weaker mg for mg(same applies to Vits). i would say its best to by them separate that way you know how much your getting and can get the full benefit from each

Now makes some product called Immune that has 200mg of astralaus and a blend of beta glucans(mushrooms) it in. I just orderd that, plus extra astralaus and olive leaf extract. I also heard that 400mcg of selenium has done wonders for people who get sick a lot. Gonna try it and see what happens. Just dished out $100 for everything. Damn, that could have been 2 bottles of test LOL

b)my business partner at the same time comes down with the same virus and is royally sick
c)my warehouse shipping manager gets the same virus from my business partner

d)--i was around all three of these people using the same pens, the same papers, phones etc and no doubt coming in contact with their germs
