Cheap canned tuna/canned chicken??

Canned meat works best for me at the moment, since I don't have access to a kitchen and I prefer to eat food rather than drink shakes.

Anyone here have a good source for cheap canned meats (tuna/chicken)?

Can buy in bulk...

Go to Costco and buy bulk. I tried aldi canned tuna trying to save a few pennies and I just couldn't eat it, low quality product. I love the Costco yellowfin tuna.

Great Value (Walmart) is about the cheapest on the shelf, but I'd much rather pay a few more cents a can to not find fish scales and shit. There's a marked difference in quality for not that much more money.

Tuna is one of the types of fish in which mercury is a real concern. You can eat some but you should limit the number of cans per week. That's why I switched to Great Value canned chicken. I eat it with Cheez-Its, pork rinds, or just crackers. When we don't go to Walmart, we buy Tyson canned chicken (red can) which costs more but tastes a bit better. The Member's Mark brand available at Sam's Club tastes like sawdust.

The grocery store I go to sells roast chicken,but after what is not sold at a certain time they'll bring it in the back and debone and shred it. I'll pick up a few of these sealed packs when I see them and freeze them. Very convenient.

I like to buy 5+lbs of cheap chicken breast and toss them in a crock pot with some seasoning. Then I make a bunch of 10oz portions and eat them over the next several days.
