Since i got flamed to hell in the doggpound for even askin this (i have no idea why) il repost here. Hopefully i get better more intelligent responses.
There are two methods iv been reading up on that supposedly work in favor to prime your body and set the stage for an explosion in growth. Here is what i know of both of them, im trying to decide which one would be more effective. . .
1. CONTROLLED CATOBOLISM
With this method you basicly create a huge catabolic and depleated state in your body right before you plan to blast off. You overtrain like crazy, deplete glycogen stores, eat very minimal calories (pretty much starve) and basicly run your body down and send catobolism through the roof. This is done 2 weeks precycle. Now when you jump on cycle, you jump on your planned training routine for growth, boost your protein/carbs a ton, and use a heavy oral for the first 2 weeks (the time that your body will best utalize the supercompensation rebound before it catches up and levels out), along with your planned cycle. Its been said "its not uncommon to gain 15-20lbs and increase your strength very drasticly during this period".
2. STRATEGIC DECONDITIONING
Doggcrapp stands by this. Summed up your allowing your body to heal and rest and the muscles to become deconditioned due to lack of stress and workload. You back off training hard, do only straight sets with no forced reps, supersets, negative reps, or any special technique. . .
Both methods are basicly shocking the hell out of the body into growth. Id like to hear more peoples opinions on these two methods and how they compare. Maybe they both have their time and place where they are most effective. If thats the case id think Controlled Catobolism would be best precycle, and Strategic Deconditioning would be best mid cycle (since you dont really wana depleat the hell out of your body mid cycle and lose your hard earned muscle). WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK. AND YES IM ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR DC'S OUTLOOK ON THIS. I got the Controlled Catobolism method from Ray Bravo for those of you who know of him, im sure a lot of you do.
