finally, after 5 months of pain and constant blurry vision, the surgeron decided that we will have the surgery done in 2 weeks to repair the damage made on my cornea

anyone here ever had that kind of laser surgery ?

Not me persoanlly, but I have quite a few freinds who have had very positive results with laser surgery. Family member just had an artificial lens put in their eye which will take a while to settle down before we know if its a success, but laser surgery seems to work wonders for people.

I had lasik corrective surgery a few years ago. The day of sucked. some of the worst few hours of my life. but after an overnight sleep it got much better.

My grandfather had laser surgery on his cornea from the same doc that did my eyes and he went from being severly vision impaired to seeing almost 20/20. (still needed glasses to read) He was very impressed with it and had nothing but good things to say, and this guy hates doctors.

i had prk. if they are grinding down the cornea, it grows back pretty quick-- a few weeks. things will be really really bright for a while though. the first two days i actually wore a pair of shades covered up by another pair of the "grandpa" shades that fit over eyeglasses

your eyes will be dry as hell, and you will catch yourself wanting to rub them.

Mike, laser surgery is a pretty simple procedure now a days. I had a few friends who had it, and they were better within 24-48 hours. I'll pray for you to have a speedy recovery.

the only thing I'm worried about is the intensity of the pain

the fact is this eye has been a constant pain for 5 months now .... and I don't want to suffer more than I did lol
