Creatine when first coming back from surgery?

In 3 weeks I can go back to lifting after taking 4 months off due to surgery and physical therapy for a torn pec.

My question is, would it be wise to take a creatine or NO product when I first go back to help me get some blood flow and some pump back in me right away?

That would actually be beneficial, since recent studies show that creatine supplementation also increase satellite cells. That's probably a great idea.

As for the NO, I see what you're getting at, to increase blood flow. But I think with creatine, maybe some L-Glutamine and lots of Vitamin C you'll have more than enough to recoup with.

I hope I'm able to lift in 3 weeks. It's been 9 weeks post surgery and my bicep/brachialis area still hurts (that's where he drilled holes in the humurus bone to reattach the pec tendon).

This hurts but my doc said it's just post surgery pain. I don't know if I believe him.

Yes. Creatine is great stuff! An NO would also help. Your thinking along the right lines. Also don't forget a healthy dose of vitamins! Studies are showing that the glucosamine/msm mainly helps with joint pain but won't do much for improving tendon strength. Anything you would take to help build muscle is also going to help at the musculo tendonous junction and help you recover quicker.

I think it would be a great supplement to start off with. Use some high quality whey protein as well.
